Edo State Ministry of Education has described as unfortunate the ill-fated protest which greeted College of Education, Ekiadolor on Wednesday.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Gladys Idahor said the protesting students were misinformed stating that the government was not owing teachers of colleges of education in the state including Institute of Technology and management, Usen.

POOR STATE OF ROADS IN GRA, BENIN. RESIDENTS LAMENT:
Some residents at the Government Reservation Area-GRA have lamented over the terrible state of their roads.
The Roads include the entire stretch of Adesuwa Road,
Aiguobasimwin and Aikhionbare Streets. Others are parts of Boundary, Upper Etete and Ugbor.

OBA OF BENIN HOLDS CRUCIAL MEETING WITH EDO STATE COUNCIL OF TRADITIONAL RULERS AND CHIEFS;
Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs have passed a vote of confidence on Governor of Edo State Mr Adams Oshiomhole for what they called good governance.
They also
commended the commissioner of Police in the state , Director of State Security
Services and other security agencies on their roles in the peace in the state.
The traditional Rulers advised the warring
members of the state house of assembly to heed to Obas earlier call to maintain peace adding that no meaningful development can take place in
an atmosphere of rancor.
