EBOLA FREE

More commendations have trailed the successful management of Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria.
However, health officials want people to celebrate but to remain cautious, and abide by the precautionary measures even as Nigeria borders are open to all and sundry.

Even the President Dr Good Luck Jonathan also cautioned Nigerians to be wary of Ebola despite the WHO decision.
In Edo state one can not remember if the state Government bought of distributed any Ebola prevention Kits outside setting up a committee.
In less than a week after WHO decision on Nigeria’s Ebola status , the tent donated by the chapter of NMA to the Edo State owned Central Hospital has been abandoned with heaps of refuse beside it.
Some Respondent in Benin on Ebola Free Nigeria say the pronouncement by the world’s apex health institution was a welcome development in the country  adding that though the  average Nigerian is relieved of the phobia of contracting the disease  more need to be done to sustain  the campaign

 Another set of respondents who were elated by the speedy containment of the dreaded virus, called on federal government to tackle poverty and other illnesses faced by average Nigerian.

You will recall that the World Health Organisation, WHO, declared Nigeria Ebola free on Monday after a forty two day period without new case of Ebola in the country.
More than 4,500 people have died and nearly 10,000 have been infected with the haemorrhagic fever, most of them in West Africa, since the start of the year.
