The crisis between lecturers under the auspices of Coalition
of Unions of State owned Tertiary institutions and Edo state government
appeared to have deepened as the lecturers defiled Thursday morning rain to stage
a fresh protest.
They said the protest stems from fresh directive from
Authorities of the various institutions coercing them to return to
class or forfeit their salaries.
Authorities of the various schools had broadcast the no
work no pay order through some section of the electronic media to the
alarm of the Teachers.
The lecturers led by COASU Chairman, Fred Omonuwa insisted on its ongoing indefinite strike despite muscle flexing by Government.
