ASSEMBLY RESUMES:

Edo people’s hope of having the over one month of the lingering crisis between the All Progressive Congress-APC and the Peoples’ Democratic Party-PDP has remained unresolved.

At the sitting which resumed on Monday 8th of August, the speaker of the PDP led Edo State House of Assembly Festus Ebea who welcomed other members of the House to the second quarter and fourth session of the fifth assembly, he assured that despite the house being made uncomfortable and unfit for use, they will do all they can to sustain democracy in Edo State.

PDP Faction Leader-Emmanuel Okoduwa representing Esan North East II Constituency adopted a motion for the consideration of Business calendar for the second quarter and fourth session of the fifth assembly of the Edo State House of Assembly. Okoduwa said the house is to sit for 77 days in the second quarters out of the total 133 days of the year which is in line with constitutional period of the house which will span for a period of September through December-17, 22, 20 and18 days respectively

Member Representing Igueben Constituency, kingsley Omiye Ehigiamusor seconded the motion for the adoption of the business calendar for the second quarters of the house.
