OREDO PROTEST.

This may not have been the best of time for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as some concerned members of the party took to streets on Monday to protest the continuous defection of their members.

The protest stemmed from the number of party stalwarts that have dumped the party in the last four months.
The protesting APC members led by Okunwague Marvis carring different placards were at the secretariat of the party at Airport Road, Benin to demand the presence of Reverend Matthew Egharevba who had been out of political activities at Oredo and the state.

The Secretary of the party, Osaro Idah who addressed the angry protesters declined camera coverage.
He advised them to sheathe their swords as top echelons of the party will look into their demands.
They later marched to government house where they were received by chief of Staff to Edo State Government, Patrick Obahiagbon.
He said the government has set up a committee to look into the matter, adding that Matthew Egharevba is a member of the party.
