VANDALISED ASSEMBLY COMPLETION

The Festus Ebea led Edo State House of Assembly has commenced renovation of the house including re-roofing of part of the assembly complex allegedly vandalized in the wake of the crisis rocking the house.

The speaker of the PDP faction, Festus Ebea addressing news men on Wednesday said the renovation became necessary to avoid further wilful destruction of the facilities.
He said they will not allow the state governor, Adams Oshiomhole to pocket the legislative arm of government against the will of the masses.
Festus Ebea also disclosed that the crisis between the two factions might not be resolved till their tenure elapse February, 2015 as the governor is hell bent on sustaining the quarrel.
He condemned the recent trip embarked by the state governor, alongside other members of the state cabinet including the 15 APC legislators to United States of America where they allegedly squandered state funds.
The nine PDP legislators later held plenary at the chambers where they summoned the state Director of Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA to appear before them on Monday 15th September, 2014.
Mr Festus Ebea, who led the PDP faction during its plenary in Benin, said the FERMA director should explain alleged misconduct of some officials of the
Edo State Traffic Management Agency on federal roads in the state.
Ebea said the House had passed a resolution calling on EDSTMA officials to stop further harassment of road users on federal trunk roads in the state.
