Political activities in Edo is getting tensed by the day,
though, the Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to lift campaign
across the country ahead of 2015 elections.
Here in Edo State, the main opposition, PDP is not taking
chances.
But the state Governor, Adams Oshiohole and his allies at
different fora urged members of the public not to give opportunity to the main
opposition political party, PDP as opportunity given them for eight years was
underutilized.
The people may have taken that advice with a pitch of salt as
a number of members are leaving the ruling APC in droves.
The latest is a prominent National leader of the party, Chief
Tom Ikimi.
He claimed to have dumped the party over alleged lack of
transparent leadership of the party.
Adams Oshiomhole who appeared not to have any fear said they
are leaving the party for selfish interest.
The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party said the party
will feature credible party in the forthcoming election against the opinion of
the ruling APC leadership.
The question is what would lead to members defecting from a
ruling political party?
